  • Institute Award: an individual outstanding contribution to CIFST.

  • President's Awardan individual or organization whom the President wishes to recognize for significant contribution to either the Institute or the Food Sector.  Please note: The President of CIFST selects the recipient of this award.  Nominations from CIFST Members are not accepted for this Award.

  • Fellow of the Instituteindividuals with distinguished accomplishment in food science and technology.  Please note: A maximum of one Fellow may be elected per year.
  • Emeritus Awardsselected retired CIFST members who have made a significant contribution to the Institute.

  • William J. Eva Awardan individual for outstanding contributions to food science through research and science.

  • Gordon Royal Maybee Awardan individual or organization who has made an outstanding applied development in the food sector.

  • The Food Industry CEO of the Year Award:   the CEO of a company who has made an outstanding contribution to the Canadian Food Industry.

  • Food Development Awardan outstanding contribution to product development by R & D or Product Development team personnel or consultants.

  • Food Production Award:  an outstanding contribution to the food processing industry by QC or QA management personnel with a minimum of 10 years' experience.

  • Food Marketing Awardan outstanding contribution to the marketing of finished food products by member of marketing team or a consultant.
